A Tour of Scotland & A Tale of Six Tawnies
Fine Wines by Liquor Select Newsletter September 21, 2010 issue
So that was summer. We wuz robbed! The scent of autumn is most definitely in the air, the kids are back at school, the Eskimos are breaking our hearts, and our appetites are turning towards the heartier fair of this time of year. We are ready for the fall down here at the shop, with lots of new and interesting wines, beers and spirits to keep us I would like to thank all of you who attended the annual Beer Festival last weekend. There were some great new brews to be enjoyed for the first time and some old favourites to reconnect with. The star of the show was the new Innis & Gunn Highland Cask, with sales over four times its runner up. Silver and Bronze going to Ola Dubh 18 and Konig Ludwig, closely followed by Ola Dubh 12, Rogue Mogul Madness, Half Pints Stir Stick Stout and many others. It was good to see so many of you out enjoying yourselves like that. It will be a tough act to follow next time round! In this issue of the newsletter, you will find a wealth of new offerings, including several very rare Collector’s items, as well as new Cognacs, Ports, and several great values. As well, we have set some events for the next few months and even have another Staff Education Night coming up (see below). Enjoy
